Thomas was the son of Daniel (1807-1876) and Jane nee Beckingham (1811-1850) who married in January 1829 at Collingbourne Ducis. Thomas married Elizabeth Jane Brooks in Pewsey in November 1868 and had eight children. Thomas is recorded in the Collingbourne Ducis census returns for 1861 and 1871, in1881 a blacksmith in Upavon, Wiltshire. In 1891 he is Master Blacksmith in Easton Royal in Wiltshire through to the 1911 census. Thomas died reg'd in Pewsey in 1929..

His son William Miller was also a blacksmith, and John died at Bishops Cannings in April 1868..

NEATE William Blacksmith 1794 William Neate, blacksmith master and carpenter. Born 1794 in Coate near Devizes. William married Anne Dyke in Devizes in 1832. The 1851 census for Bishops Cannings lists William as a blacksmith employing 7 men and 3 boys. Slaters Directory of 1852 describes him as Blacksmith/Wheelwright. By the 1861 census he was just a carpenter and died in Bishops Cannings in August 1865. Itís possible that one of the boys he employed was his nephew John son of Daniel Neate (1806 - 1865 )..

SMITH William Blacksmith 1818 William Smith, blacksmith. William is recorded in the book "Urchfont - A History of the parish" as working at The Green, Urchfont, Wiltshire, as a blacksmith in 1818. He had married Sarah Piper at Nethervaon in 1813. He is also recorded as Blacksmith on baptism records in Urchfont on a number of his children up to 1837. The family left for Canada in 1846 and William died in Ontario in 1877..
