He is recorded as a blacksmith with his wife Charlotte at Stert, Wiltshire in 1816 and 1818 but I can find nothing more definite about him. He had married Charlotte ( a widow nee Bennett ) at Stert in 1815. She was born at Wootton Rivers, Wiltshire in 1785 and married William Fidler at Wootton Rivers in 1804 - he had died there in 1814. Charlotte died at Stert in 1840.

CHANDLER Thomas Blacksmith 1842 Thomas Chandler, blacksmith. Born in April 1842 in Collingbourne Ducis, Wiltshire. Thomas was the son of Daniel (1807-1876) and Jane nee Beckingham (1811-1850) who married in January 1829 at Collingbourne Ducis. Thomas married Elizabeth Jane Brooks in Pewsey in November 1868 and had eight children. Thomas is recorded in the Collingbourne Ducis census returns for 1861 and 1871, in1881 a blacksmith in Upavon, Wiltshire. In 1891 he is Master Blacksmith in Easton Royal in Wiltshire through to the 1911 census. Thomas died reg'd in Pewsey in 1929..

They they moved to Hampshire, first at Hurstbourne Tarrant in 1871, then Monxton in 1881 and Overton in 1891. He died at Whitchurch, Hampshire in 1896.

In 1841 and 1851 he is a farrier at Pewsey, then in 1861 a veterinary surgeon, before he died there in 1870..

NASH Albert Blacksmith 1875 Albert Nash, blacksmith. Born in 1875 at Chitterne, Wiltshire. Son of Robert and Elizabeth Nash. Married Martha Pearce at Imber, Wiltshire in 1899 and recorded as a blacksmith there from 1901 until Dec. 1943 when he and all the villagers at Imber were evicted as the area was required for wartime battle training. He died at Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire early in Jan. 1944, but was buried back at Imber. There is a very sad story of Albert Nash. He is thought to have died of a broken heart within weeks of being evicted and having to leave his forge etc. His brother Daniel was also a blacksmith..

John was the son of Daniel a Carpenter and Anne Smith. in 1851 he was aged 16 an Apprentice Blacksmith (possibly with his Uncle William Neate, Daniel's brother ) - but I canít find anything about John after 1851..  
NEATE William Blacksmith 1794 William Neate, blacksmith master and carpenter. Born 1794 in Coate near Devizes. William married Anne Dyke in Devizes in 1832. The 1851 census for Bishops Cannings lists William as a blacksmith employing 7 men and 3 boys. Slaters Directory of 1852 describes him as Blacksmith/Wheelwright. By the 1861 census he was just a carpenter and died in Bishops Cannings in August 1865. Itís possible that one of the boys he employed was his nephew John son of Daniel Neate (1806 - 1865 )..

Is missing in 1841, and in 1851 and 1861 is a blacksmith at Newbury, Berkshire, but in 1871 is back in Wiltshire as a blacksmith at Devizes St John, where he then died in 1883..  
NICHOLS Charles Blacksmith 1853 Charles Nichols, blacksmith. Born in 1853 at Brinkworth, Wiltshire. The son of James and Eleanor Nichols. Recorded as a blacksmith with William Greenland at Ramsbury, Wiltshire in 1871, and about 1878 he married Frances but no marriage was found. In 1881 he was a blacksmith at Swindon, Wiltshire and working as a haulier at Brinkworth in 1891, before they moved to Wales, where he was a coal miner living with family in Glamorgan, Wales in 1901 and a gardener there in 1911. He died in Wales in 1931..

Worked as a blacksmith at Wilsford, Semington and West Ashton, Wilts for the rest of his life - had retired by 1911 census and died at West Ashton in 1922. Henry is listed in both Blacksmiths of Somerset and Wilstshire..

He had married Sarah Piper at Nethervaon in 1813. He is also recorded as Blacksmith on baptism records in Urchfont on a number of his children up to 1837. The family left for Canada in 1846 and William died in Ontario in 1877..

Married Sarah Allaway there in 1822 and recorded as a whitesmith there in 1825 and 1831 before working as a blacksmith at Devizes, Wiltshire in 1836 and then died there in August 1836..

James married Eliza Dodington at Imber, Wiltshire in December. 1850, and is recorded as a blacksmith and sometime grocer at Imber from 1851 to 1881. Died at Imber Feb. 1888..

Recorded as an apprentice blacksmith to William Greenland at Ramsbury, Wiltshire in 1851, but then died and was buried at Great Berwyn in June 1858 aged just 22..

Married Ann Page at Devizes Southbroom, Wiltshire in 1821 and recorded at Devizes as a blacksmith from 1822 to 1834, but in 1841 and 1851 he was working as a farm labourer. Listed in 1861 in Devizes as a retired blacksmith he died there in 1866..

SWANBOROUGH Thomas Blacksmith 1790 Thomas Swanborough, blacksmith. Bornin 1790 at All Cannings, Wiltshire. The son of William and Sarah Swanborough. Married Sarah Ashton at Manningford Abbots, Wiltshire in 1812, and recorded as a blacksmith at All Cannings from 1821 to 1828. Is missing in 1841 but was a blacksmith there in 1851 before he died in 1860..

Married Sarah Plank at Pewsey, Wiltshire in 1814 and recorded as a blacksmith in baptism record for their daughter Mary Ann there in 1815, but he died at Pewsey in 1836..

TASKER Frederick Blacksmith 1845 Frederick Tasker, blacksmith. Born in 1845 at Burbage, Wiltshire. The son of David and Ruth Tasker. In 1861 was working with his father David at Burbage as a blacksmith but at some time joined the Army as is missing in 1871 and 1881 but in May 1886 is discharged from the Royal Fusiliers. From 1891 to 1911 he was working with his brother James as a blacksmith back at Burbage and was an Army pensioner. He died at Burbage in November 1913..

In 1851 was working as a blacksmith aged 19 with his grandfather Stephen Tasker at Burbage, Wiltshire, then with his father David there from 1861 to 1881 - he died unmarried at Burbage in 1884..

Was working as a blacksmith with his father at Burbage in 1861, before he married Barbara Ann Hill at Richmond, Surrey in 1865. He was still in Richmond in 1881, but from 1891 to 1911 was back working as a blacksmith with his brother Frederick at Burbage. He died there in 1915..

TASKER Michael Blacksmith 1800 Michael Tasker, blacksmith. Born in 1800 at Stanton St Bernard, Wiltshire. The son of Stephen and Ann Tasker. Married Mary Woodruffe there in 1825, but after she died in 1855, he then married Jane Francis there in 1861. Recorded as a blacksmith there from 1827 to 1861, but in 1871 he was just a farmer, and he died in June later that year..

TASKER Stephen Blacksmith 1806 Stephen Tasker, blacksmith. Bornin 1806 at Alton Priors, Wiltshire. The son of John and Susannah Tasker Married Elizabeth Reek there in 1830, but after she died in 1846, he then married Ann Pinchin at Stanton St Bernard, Wiltshire in 1852. Recorded as a blacksmith at Stanton St Bernard from 1833 through to when he died there in September 1878.  
TASKER Stephen.M. Blacksmith 1834 Stephen M Tasker, blacksmith. Born in 1834 at Burbage, Wiltshire. The son of David and Ruth Tasker. In 1851 he was working with his grandfather Stephen as a blacksmith at Burbage, From 1861 to 1881 he was working with his father David as a blacksmith at Burbage, but in 1891 had moved working at Dorking, Surrey. In 1901 was in the workhouse at Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey described as a blacksmith. He died there unmarried in 1904..

TILEY Edmund Blacksmith 1832 Edmund Tiley, blacksmith. Born about 1832, Somerset Road? The 1851 UK census lists him as 19yrs, lodging with Charlotte Leonard and family at No:11, St. Margaretís Street, Bradford, Wiltshire.  
TOTTERDALE Abraham Blacksmith 1831 Abraham Totterdale or Totterdill, blacksmith, coachsmith. Abraham is a mystery as I can find no birth for him or marriage details for his wife Sarah who is mentioned in baptism reports for their children; Mary 1831, Francis A. 1832 and William 1836 all in Devizes St Mary, Wiltshire. Then there is Emma born in Bristol in 1834 and Charles in 1842 in Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire, all of whom mention Sarah with Abraham as a blacksmith or coachsmith so appear to be the same family..

TYLER Robert Blacksmith 1831 Robert Tyler, blacksmith. Born in 1831 in Urchfont Wiltshire. Robert was the son of Henry (born 1789) and Ann Tyler. He is recorded in the 1851 census as a blacksmith at Urchfont, but nothing more could be found about him..  
WAITE Edwin Blacksmith 1811 Edwin Waite, blacksmith. Born in 1811 at Devizes St Mary, Wiltshire. The son of William and Ann Waite. Married Louisa Munday at Devizes St John in 1834, and recorded as a blacksmith at Devizes St Mary from 1834 until he died there in 1850..

WAITE William Blacksmith 1827 William Waite, blacksmith. Born in 1827 in Coate, near Devizes, Wiltshire. William married Sarah Merritt in Bishops Cannings in Oct. 1850 and is recorded there as Journeyman blacksmith in the 1851 census. By 1861 they had moved to Upper Clatford, Hampshire where he is recorded as a blacksmith in census returns through to 1901..

Married Ann Alexander at Devizes, Wiltshire in 1799, and recorded on baptism records as a blacksmith at Devizes in 1811 and 1814. He died there in 1835 and his probate called him a farrier..

WILLIS Joseph Blacksmith 1833 Joseph Willis, blacksmith. Born ?date at Frome, Somerset. The son of Samuel and Ruth Willis. Married Ruth Wale or Whale at Devizes St Mary, Wiltshire in 1833 and recorded there as a blacksmith in 1834 and 1835. In 1841 he is described there as a whitesmith, then in 1851 to 1871 working as a coach builder at Devizes, before continuing that trade at Rowde, Wiltshire in 1881. By 1891 he was retired at Rowde and died there in 1898..  
WILTSHIRE William Blacksmith 1829 William Wiltshire, blacksmith. Listed as a sojourner and I have not found his birth details, but he married Mary Ann Wordly at Bishops Cannings, Wiltshire in 1829, and recorded as a blacksmith there on baptism of their son John in 1831. I found no further records for the family..

Married Fanny Scarlett at Overton, Wiltshire in 1827, and recorded as a blacksmith at Oare, Wiltshire on baptism of their son William in 1829. Is missing in the 1841 census, but recorded as a blacksmith at Wilcot, Wiltshire in 1851 - he died there in 1857..  
WINDSOR William Blacksmith 1829 William Windsor, blacksmith, Born in 1829 at Oare, Wiltshire. SOn son of James and Fanny Windsor. Was working with his father at Wilcot, Wiltshire as a blacksmith in 1851, and continued there after his father died in 1857, but William died in 1865..

WITCHEL John Blacksmith 1774 John Witchel, blacksmith. Born in 1774 in Urchfont, Wiltshire. John is recorded in the book "Urchfont - a History of the Parish" as working as a blacksmith at Wedhampton in 1813. John married Martha Dyke in Urchfont in 1801 - John died at Urchfont in 1815. His son George born Urchfont 20. 8. 1813 is recorded as a Blacksmith in Wedhampton, Wiltshire, in the 1851 census..  
WITCHELL James Blacksmith 1804 James Witchell, blacksmith. Born in 1804 in Wedhampton, WIltshire. He married Sarah Edwards at Chippenham in July 1833 and is recorded as a blacksmith at Urchfont in 1841 and 1851. In 1861 he is noted there employing one man and one apprentice, and again at Urchfont in 1871 and 1881. He died at Urchfont in June 1881..
