Wife: Mary Ann Kidner, married 1881, the daughter of Anthony Kidner, a shepherd of Broomfield, Somerset. Theodore worked as a blacksmith in both Somerset and Glamorgan. I have not been able to find when, where, and to whom he was apprenticed and only know that he left Somerset sometime between 1885 and 1890. Theodore James & Mary Ann's first two children were born in Somerset around the Puriton area and then about 1886-7 they went to the Rhondda where he become a colliery blacksmith. They had three more children. He remained here until he entered Bridgend Mental Hospital; from what I can gather, he was melancholic after the death of his wife (in 1908) and was finally admitted there some two or three years previous to his death on 26 August 1919, at Bridgend, Glamorgan. He is buried in the cemetery attached to the hospital..
