Married Elizabeth Moore 20 April 1802. They had 9 children, John (1802), William (1804) Mary Ann (1806 died 1807), Mary (1810)Sarah (1813) Elizabeth (1816) Michael (1818 died 1895) Emily Caroline (1821) James (1824). John the eldest son moved to Northampton where he worked in a foundry. William is my husband's 3 x gt.grandfather ..  
BEESON William Blacksmith 1765 William Beeson, blacksmith. Born circa 1765. William and his son John born 1800 were blacksmiths in Chenies (formerly Isenhampton), Buckinghamshire, England. They were from a long line of Blacksmiths who lived in that area. John moved to Two Waters, Hemel Hempstead, Herts. and set up a blacksmith business there from around 1830, his son James stayed in the business but John's son Thomas born 1835 +/- went to work at the steam train building yard in New Swindon, Wiltshire, around 1850 as a steam engine boiler fitter.  
CHANDLER Anthony Blacksmith 1550 Anthony Chandler, blacksmith. Born about 1550, was trained as a Blacksmith (perhaps apprenticed to the famous Buckingham bell-founder Ap Powell) and started a family bell-foundry at Drayton Parslow. Anthony married in Buckingham in 1580. Some of the bells made in the 1600s by Anthony's descendants, labelled CHANDLER MADE ME, survive today and at least one 350 year old CHANDLER bell was rung to celebrate the arrival of the new millennium. CHANDLER Robert Blacksmith 1810 Robert Chandler, blacksmith, Innkeeper at Buckinghamshire, England. Robert was Christened at Timsbury (3 miles north-east of Romsey, 4 miles north-west of Chandlers Ford) on 24th October 1782, the son of John William Chandler and Mary formerly Pearce. 1823 Botley? Died: 1834 aged 52yrs. Buried: South Stoneham. Wife: Elizabeth Dunning, married Romsey 1810. Working at Milbrook. 1813 & 1821 Redbridge. See the Interesting Stories Index..  
ELDRIDGE Jesse Blacksmith 1816 Jesse Eldridge, blacksmith. Born about 1816 in Buckinghamshire. The 1841 UK census lists him as 25yrs, at Green Hailey, Monks Risborough, Buckinghamshire; with wife Mary 20yrs (born Buckinghamshire) plus daughter Elizabeth 2yrs & son Jesse 6months infant. ELDRIDGE Jesse Blacksmith 1815 Jesse Eldridge, blacksmith. Born 1815, Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England. Jesse married Mary King (b1819) in 1838. Children: Elizabeth (b1839), Jesse (b1841), John (b1843), Ann (b1846) and Mary (b1849). Mary (ie the mother) died in 1849. Jesse remarried in 1853, Louisa Hillyar (b1820) but I have no record of any more children. Mary, his youngest child, appears to have died by the 1851 census. In 1851 his younger brother William is a member of his household and his occupation is also shown as a blacksmith..  
ELDRIDGE John Blacksmith 1843 John Eldridge, blacksmith. Born 1843, Risborough, Buckinghamshire, England. Son of Jesse. John moved to Maidenhead in neighbouring Berkshire. He married Hannah (b1839, Lane End, Bucks). Children: John (b1865), Mary (b1868), Louisa (b1871), Frank (b1875) and Jesse (b1878). As far as I am aware, none of these became blacksmiths. Jesse, my grandfather, was a bricklayer..

Children: Celia (b 1810), Francis (b 1813), Jesse (b1815), Thomas (b1818), George (b1821), Mary (b1823), Jane (b1825), Hannah (b1827), John (b1829) and William (b1832)..

Married second wife Caroline Eliza Cooling 1847 at Lower Winchendon. Various entries in census and directories as Blacksmith in Lower Winchendon. Thomas died in November 1883 in Lower Winchendon..

1815 William Mew, blacksmith & farmer. Son of Thomas and Martha Mew born 21 November 1815 Lower Winchendon, Buckinghamshire. Married Martha Plestead April 1839 Chearsley, Buckinghamshire. Various entries in the UK census was located in Chearsley. Died 25 March 1879 and was buried in Chearsley, Buckinghamshire..  
STRANGE James Blacksmith 1862 James Strange, blacksmith, shoeing smith. Born about 1862, Turville, Buckinghamshire, England. The 1871 UK census lists James as 9yrs living in Turville with his two brother s Philip 16yrs (blacksmith) and William 14yrs (labourer). Also listed: lodger Mark Harmom 20yrs (blacksmith born 1850, Oxfordshire) ; Mary Green 28yrs (servant) and Lodger Elizabeth Rockall 20yrs (domestic servant). 1881: James is 19yrs, still in Turville, at blacksmiths cottage with brother Philip 26yrs. Listed: Ann Strange 25yrs (Philip’s wife) and Philip’s daughter Florence Strange 2yrs. In 1901 James is 38yrs, living in Oxfordshire with Ann 36yrs. Children: Philip 16yrs; Elizabeth 4yrs; James 2yrs (born about 1885, became a shoeing smith, see census 1901)..  
STRANGE Philip Blacksmith 1854 Philip Strange, blacksmith. Born 10th September 1854, in Turville, Buckinghamshire, England. The 1871 UK census Lists Philip as 16yrs, as head of family living at The Hotel end of Turville Heath. Also listed is his two brothers James 9yrs (blacksmith) and William 14yrs (labourer). In 1881 Philip is 26yrs, living at the blacksmiths shop/cottage in Turville with wife Ann 25yrs and daughter Florence Eliza Agnes 2yrs. In 1891 Florence (13yrs) and her sister Ada (11yrs) are with grandparents Benjamin and Mary Ann Strange in Wycombe Buckinghamshire. See Philip died aged 29yrs, September quarter of 1883,Wycombe..
